KGH NFT Migration & KYC

As part of Kroma Guardian House’s ongoing commitment to decentralization and network security, the KGH NFT Migration & KYC process ensures that KGH NFT holders can seamlessly engage with the Kroma network’s validator system and unlock the full utility of their NFTs.

Since Kroma operates as an Ethereum Layer 2, all security-related activities, including staking and claiming KRO tokens, must occur on Ethereum (Layer 1). To enable this, KGH NFTs, originally minted on Kroma, need to be migrated to Ethereum. This migration is crucial for KGH NFT holders who wish to participate in the validator rewards and claim their locked KRO tokens. The Kroma team will refund all transaction fees associated with the migration process to ensure a smooth transition.

In addition, to unlock the KRO tokens stored within the KGH NFTs, holders must complete a KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This step is necessary to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring that the holder meets certain eligibility criteria, such as not being a resident of restricted countries.

This document outlines the migration process for KGH NFTs, including step-by-step instructions, and provides detailed information on completing the KYC verification through the Argos platform. Together, these processes empower KGH NFT holders to fully utilize their assets within the Kroma network while maintaining compliance with all necessary legal frameworks.
